Songs of Love and Loss: a rave review!
Daily Information Oxford came to our concert on 26th May and have written a rave review. It includes comments like "The choir responded like a finely tuned instrument, eager and enthusiastic under the gifted direction of Duncan Aspden. They watched him like the clichéd hawks. The tempo changes were breathtaking and the articulations clear through some tricky changes; we had the words in the programme, but didn’t need them". You can read the full review on Daily Information's website.
We welcome good singers
We would like to hear from competent singers/sight readers who are able
to offer commitment to this high quality chamber choir.
We hold weekly rehearsals, directed by Duncan Aspden, on Mondays from 7.30pm until 9.30pm at Magdalen College School.
At present we are particularly seeking a first or second tenor, and a second bass but those of all voices are welcome to enquire.
If you are interested in attending a rehearsal,
please contact the Secretary, Margarita Morris, secretary@oxfordchoir.org. If you decide to apply, an audition can be
arranged on the same night or another Monday.
